PICK A CARD FOR YOUR PARTNER EVENT

On Monday November 25th, we will have a fun event during our regular Monday morning play at the City County Gym. I found this by Googling fun pickleball events. Let's give it a go next Monday.

"In my groups we sometimes use a deck of cards to pick teams. Our courts have 6 courts so we use the Ace through 6. Ace= court 1, 2= court 2, etc, etc. Everyone draws a card from a shuffled deck. The red suits (Diamond/hearts) play as a team against the black suits (spades/clubs). We set a timer for 12-13 minutes. Redraw every game. If we have an odd number of players we add face cards in. If you draw a face card you sit out that round. If you drew a face card in a previous round you cannot draw another face card (redraw)."

If we get lots of sign ups, we may do three courts for rec play and  three courts for advanced play. This would make it a bit more manageable with the middle curtain. Maybe???

With this format, players do not need to come exactly on time or stay the whole time.  Courts and cards can be adjusted for players arriving later or needing to leave early.
